The Inspiration Behind the Artwork

The "Jaguar Marajoara" is born where the past and the future meet. Amid the patterns of Marajoara ceramics and the glow of urban colors, a guardian emerges across time—strength, mystery, and enchantment. Created by Cely Feliz Arikem, the artwork brings together Caboclofuturism and Indigenous ancestry, transforming the jaguar into a living entity that safeguards memories and imagines futures.

Adorned with spirals, lines, and symbols that echo the clay of Marajó and the worldview of the peoples of the rainforest, the "Guardiã Caboclofuturista" carries within it the language of the earth and the unseen.

The green of the forest and ferns evokes the living rainforest.

The red of ceramics and village life speaks of roots and sacred land.

The deep, nocturnal tones reveal the spiritual world inhabited by the jaguar.

Jaguar Parade is an art movement with a powerful purpose: to unite art and awareness in support of jaguar conservation and the protection of their natural habitats.
