The Inspiration Behind the Artwork
Created by artist Reynaldo Berto, this artwork connects cultural tradition with environmental preservation. "É no pé do lajeiro, Onde a Onça Mora" brings the tradition of Cordel literature into the world of jaguars, creating a parallel between two endangered forms of heritage. Just as the traditional woodcut prints of Cordel literature have been gradually disappearing, nature faces similar threats, transforming the jaguar into a protagonist of popular storytelling.

About Jaguar Parade
Jaguar Parade is an art movement with a powerful purpose: to unite art and awareness in support of jaguar conservation and the protection of their natural habitats. Through open-air cultural exhibitions, we transform urban spaces into living galleries, sparking curiosity, inspiring reflection, and encouraging dialogue about the importance of conservation. At the end of each exhibition, the sculptures are auctioned, and 100% of the net proceeds are donated to jaguar conservation projects.
