The Inspiration Behind the Artwork
"Coração Luz," by artist Camila Carrossine, was inspired by a true story of love, dedication, and perseverance.
At the age of 15, Fernanda was challenged to teach blind children how to read. Unsure of what the experience would be like, she feared she might not succeed. Nevertheless, encouraged by her parents to never turn down a challenge, she decided to move forward. It was then that she began studying body awareness and fell in love with this field.
In 1995, alongside around 10 blind students, the "Ballet de Cegos" was born. Today, the project is internationally recognized for its pioneering method of teaching Classical Ballet techniques to people with visual impairments, developed by Fernanda Bianchini herself.
The learning process begins through touch and enables the practice of different dance styles in a graceful and inclusive way, promoting postural, sensory, and spatial development while strengthening self-esteem, building self-confidence, and helping to break down prejudice.
Over the years, the movement has been applauded in more than 10 countries, sharing a powerful message of transformation through art, love, and dedication. Today, the project serves approximately 450 students in person and another 120 online, bringing together people of different ages and with a wide range of disabilities.

About Art of Love
Art of Love is one of Brazil’s largest open-air art exhibitions. The project brings together dozens of heart sculptures, transformed by talented artists into unique works of art that bring creativity closer to the public and into the everyday life of cities.
At the end of each edition, the sculptures are auctioned, and 100% of the net proceeds are directed to transformative social initiatives, expanding the reach and legacy of the project.
